The number of people with disabilities is significant worldwide. The reasons for this are varied: some have congenital disabilities, while others become disabled as a result of war, illness, or accidents. In this series of works, I explore the transformations of the body and anomalies, focusing on the forms that the human body can take under the influence of various factors.
I am interested in what powerful forces can affect a person and cause their body to deform. These factors may include wars, illnesses, or accidents, and each transformation serves as an important testimony to the experiences endured. I view these deformities as manifestations of history—not only personal but also collective.
The body becomes a vessel of experience, reflecting not only physical injuries but also psychological and emotional consequences. These changes can speak to the sufferings endured, loss, and resilience.
